Music for the revolution in my head: choogling punks; power pop, both skinny-tied and long-haired; soul shouters and girl groups; bubblegum and acid rock; global fuzz; weirdos and outsiders, and the Weirdos and the Outsiders; Archie Shepp and J. Geils. Plus, live bands.

being involved with animal rescue since like . . . FOREVER . . . my impression is that the Mayor's Alliance may have decided on "Adopt-A-Palooza" precisely b/c it is such an "old" and recognizable name . . .

And I learned about “Sassy” by gong to the zine store “See Here!” on East 7th near 2nd Avenue and buying some copies of “Teenage Gang Debs.” I discovered “Beat Happening” and “Bikini Kill” via that zine. And then “Sassy” as well. IT IS A SMALL WORLD!!!
