@Rev TD, have you seen that Trader Joe's now offers carrot cake in a jar?! Reportedly though, it does not taste much like carrot cake: junkbanter.com...

A few minutes ago the water in the electric kettle started coming on the boil – a textured not-exactly-white noise which ramped up quickly but not instantaneously – and I thought it was another layer you were adding.

Then I realized it was coming from a completely different direction than where the speakers were. Neat trick, Olivia!

Dear all DJs please do take a course on pronunciation
, foreign words names etc. Just about every DJ is complaining on air on their disability to pronounce names etc. It is your profession to pronounce things! please!

Please note that almost all DJs here are volunteers so it's not their "profession" per se, but hey, if someone can volunteer to offer the FMU DJs a free course on pronunciations, I'm all in favor of that!

Googling that great séance sample that's been played several times on FMU (the one with the RAF ghosts who crashed near a church and being told to let go of the earth and look up) doesn't turn up much except a book called "Shadows in the Sky: The Haunted Airways of Britain."
