	10:09am Sem: Brier island is a major flyway for Nortjh American migratory birds, the vultures appeared there first ~ 2012-13. Since then they have spread all over Nova Scotia. goo.gl... There is a maple at the foot of the property, on the estuary, from which a pair of bald eagles hunt all winter. Awesome does not come close to describing the spectatcle.
	10:10am βrian: I saw a bald eagle right in downtown Madison a few winters back. Flying at about 60 feet against a clear blue sky.
	10:10am JakeGould: @WebhamsterHenry: Primaries and conventions for political parties used to be real debate and discussion forums, not some foregone conclusion retreat. The 1970s up until the 1980s I believe it was still like that. Nowadays it’s somewhat of a joke. But Justice Democrats? Yes please. Even the flawed ones… But I say that being in a weird district in NYC where my alternative Democratic candidate is really a complete idiot. And for Ike who will read this, I am not in the Barkan/Gounardes district. Those are the people literally across the street from me. And I believe either one of those guys defeating Marty Golden would be a great thing for Bay Ridge and the rest of Brooklyn because Bay Ridge going 100% Democrat would change A LOT in this city.

Anyway, it didn’t die because of the heat despite only trusting us at a yard’s distance. Otherwise, it’s a nice cat that likes people more than other strays but is still weirded out by humans.

	10:18am Dave in Vermont: Emilsagroforest I was going to mention that last year I saw finches and tiny woodpeckers (Downy?) feeding on mullein stalks in our yard- it was cool. I haven't noticed this year. THey would come at different times like maybe a half hour apart. They each eat different things out of the stalk, one seeds and one insects.That was one of my highlights last summer.

So if Simcha Felder falls on your side and then Marty Golden falls on my side, then the district I am in just will change because of that overwhelming non-Republican aligned sandwich. When I saw the ballot and realized it was Diane Savino, I shrugged and went with her because at the end of the day my specific slice of deep Brooklyn hell can only fall apart if Savino is not there and a competent replacement isn’t in the wings. It all sucks, but I could wax on for hours how the liberal deep parts of Brooklyn morphed into this conservative B.S. but all I will say is: Yes, I agree Ike. But it’s not as simple in this part of Brooklyn as you think. But went with Nixon and Williams otherwise.

	10:09am Sem: Brier island is a major flyway for Nortjh American migratory birds, the vultures appeared there first ~ 2012-13. Since then they have spread all over Nova Scotia. goo.gl... There is a maple at the foot of the property, on the estuary, from which a pair of bald eagles hunt all winter. Awesome does not come close to describing the spectatcle.

	10:10am JakeGould: @WebhamsterHenry: Primaries and conventions for political parties used to be real debate and discussion forums, not some foregone conclusion retreat. The 1970s up until the 1980s I believe it was still like that. Nowadays it’s somewhat of a joke. But Justice Democrats? Yes please. Even the flawed ones… But I say that being in a weird district in NYC where my alternative Democratic candidate is really a complete idiot. And for Ike who will read this, I am not in the Barkan/Gounardes district. Those are the people literally across the street from me. And I believe either one of those guys defeating Marty Golden would be a great thing for Bay Ridge and the rest of Brooklyn because Bay Ridge going 100% Democrat would change A LOT in this city.

I haven't noticed this year. THey would come at different times like maybe a half hour apart. They each eat different things out of the stalk, one seeds and one insects.That was one of my highlights last summer.

So if Simcha Felder falls on your side and then Marty Golden falls on my side, then the district I am in just will change because of that overwhelming non-Republican aligned sandwich. When I saw the ballot and realized it was Diane Savino, I shrugged and went with her because at the end of the day my specific slice of deep Brooklyn hell can only fall apart if Savino is not there and a competent replacement isn’t in the wings. It all sucks, but I could wax on for hours how the liberal deep parts of Brooklyn morphed into this conservative B.S. but all I will say is: Yes, I agree Ike. But it’s not as simple in this part of Brooklyn as you think. But went with Nixon and Williams otherwise.

As a Farmers' Market guy I can tell you that organic growers must work very very hard to find a place in a crowded market place, but what's new in that, same anywhere.

(though i do use gmail) i did open it though & watched a few minutes then it panned to the flag and not much else so i closed it. i have to get outside and work anyway. it's sunny out and that may only last a few minutes!
