@coel: I had an american jersey over my mexi jersey while watching at my footy pub. My wife hates football as she hates the Mexi fans and she used to live a few blocks away from the stadium in Monterrey. As you know, she can't believe she married an anglo - gringo who is obsessed by futbol. (I always root for EEUU over Mexico due to the accident of my birth)

EEUU= Estados Unidos (US). I grew up playing soccer as a kid when it was derided. But, I excelled at it, and made the US U-14 team for the championship tourney in Yokohama. We were killed, but beat the USSR (it wa s'89) and finished 19th out of 21, and got to train w/ the Brazilian senior teaam. I'm a footy advocate, even though injuries at 16 made my ambitions subside. I love the universality of the game, b/c I'm a geography nerd, so .... hence, I support Estados Unidos for both men and women (watch every game).
