Anything mexican I love. But only heard of this probably 30years ago. It was mostly an AM phenom to bypass US regulations and broadcast in english across the texas border. Lots of evangelicals and all that. As said, it's a good story. There are books about it.

Way back, we had to listen to AM. All we had. That freq travels thousands of miles. We listened to WLS baseball and cuban, so amer stations. No fidelity but we got great stuff.
