SO my neighbor who is a high end contractor says all new houses are $350k and up. The days of $150k houses in western NY may be limited in a crazy new bubble of new construction that is driving up all prices as new families dash to pay more and more for just a normal house as all the new mc mansions get built. Whatever happened to Frank Lloyd Wright's vision of the Usonian house? I guess if you want an affordable house it will be a tiny one, or perhaps a container!

@Noel-I know about some really expensive luxury apts in Williamsville if you want, about $1,100 a month, free basic cable and internet. Or there was. If you want Lockport, I can ask around. Please feel free to write via the WFMU friendship society and I can find out. The area is BIG like LA and there are a lot of options. If you want Urban, Elmwood strip is the really fancy place in Buffalo with cafes and small shops. If you want other, I think I can help with regard to what is normal.
