Sorry I told the DJ to call you, Ken -- I was mostly kidding. I feel guilty now -- going to earmark a portion of my SFL pledge for KenzoDB User Manual for future reference.

Thank you Ken for your tireless and unwavering devotion to WFMU -- it is really appreciated!

Good thanks. You? Crashed my bicycle today so I'm slightly stiff and sting a little. Trying to decide whether to do a couple more beers or some Advil before going to bed. Or both.

I've been enjoying the Suzy Hotrod sets of late, but this set has been great as well. Nice work Mr Dash

man,rw glad it's not worse. i been riding almost every day; feels great but yeah i had some very close calls amongst traffic on friday. twice in about 2-3 seconds. both because fucking assholes want to show the little bicycle who's boss; once i didn't back off and they yielded, second time i couldn't have stopped on time if i tried, but he stopped at the last second.
...i think it may be pretty bad to take ibuprofin with alcohol. - i'd drink those beers that call you and take the advil in the morning.

Hey Aitch - thanks for tunin' in!

Wow. coel, I've been riding bikes since I was a kid. Taking a hiatus for a while then getting back to it over the past decade or so and I find motorists to be a little friendlier than they were in the old days. Of course everywhere's different and there's always the asshole out there. Be careful! In this case I've been taking a particular turn a little fast on the mountain bike and I knew I was going to crash one day. It seems to be something I need to do every couple years or so! Okay, one more beer. It's getting late.

rw it's unfortunate but where i live is gradually getting worse for cyclists, despite active organisation to make things better. (or i should say bicyclists, because the harley riders are often total pricks to bicyclists as well)
the college is run by a pig so is veering away from art and toward business, attracting more vacuous fools upstate from jersey and long island who don't appreciate the beauty of this area or what at least was a more relaxed atmosphere. also the change starting immediately after "9-11" was/is palpable. people fleeing away from the city i guess and bringing their selfishness and gluttony up with them. oh well even so it's still better than any other place i've lived.

The verse parts of this Night Kings songs reminds of the Prefects "Things in General," one of my fave early post-punk songs. But this Night Kings one then get more garagey in the chorus.
  2:21am
jocie:

p.s.-Prefects later became The Nightingales who were pretty awesome too.

Sorry to butt in...enjoying the show! Thanks...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24am

i kind of remember the prefects from a tape someone gave me in the 80s, but never heard of the nightingales
  2:26am
jocie:

Is this Crisis? It sounds like UK '79. Or is it a cover?
  2:26am
rw:

coel, that sounds too bad about your town. My daughter went to school in Boulder. She had issues with some of the privilege there but it is beautiful and cyclists and pedestrians rule!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27am

Crisis send up - band is called Debils...I was so excited to get the Prefects on that I screwed it up! ha

Woah!!! Things in General! Thanks

Unbelievable how great that song is...even after all these years.
