	2:21pm Kurt Gottschalk: i love how certain gospel and blues songs get to a point of barely hanging on by a thread. "motherless child" is often performed this way, and of course this "never grow old" we're hearing now. so empty, and yet every scream is still the song.
	2:23pm Kurt Gottschalk: metaphor of just being in awe of creation. we don't all agree on how creation happened/s, but it's not so hard to share in the wonder of it all.

I astonishingly went to a "mass" occasionally to stare at paintings and mosaics esp in Venezia and to hear the singing. Like a Titian right there on the altar. & I was grateful for the year of Latin those Roman Catholics inflicted upon me, helped me learn other languages in my Euro travels. I'm sad to harsh-Aretha was most likely raped by someone in her church community. I saw it happen in rural north america.

Anyway! That’s that!

I astonishingly went to a "mass" occasionally to stare at paintings and mosaics esp in Venezia and to hear the singing. Like a Titian right there on the altar. & I was grateful for the year of Latin those Roman Catholics inflicted upon me, helped me learn other languages in my Euro travels. I'm sad to harsh-Aretha was most likely raped by someone in her church community. I saw it happen in rural north america.
