	12:48pm rw: Ha! Yep. That car is still in at my mechanic's! That photo was the last picture of the car before it went in for paint, etc. When you saw that picture the car had been in the shop for several years so it hasn't been THAT long. Time does fly though!

	1:00pm Dean: Brag away, @rw. There's "bragging" and "bragadoccio." It helps to learn about how great actual "kids these days" can be. My kids, 7 and 12, are most definitely great, big-hearted people.
	1:00pm Carmichael: I found a documentary of Cat Stevens (with a long lost live concert from the 70s) in a thrift store for a buck. It's called Majikat. Don't know if it's out there now on Netflix, etc ...

	1:09pm Dean: I've actually heard the new Nels Cline album, or most of it. The sound is spectacular, but somehow I hear him working to find his way.
	♥ 1:10pm doctorjazz: Too spoiled to listen on computer speakers (though I'll go straight out of my phone sometimes). The office set up is just rediculous, but it makes me happy.
	1:11pm βrian: Thank heavens Macs still have audio ports, so you can listen with real ear phones. For now ...
	1:13pm Dean: One day I'll extract my tiny Linn system from the boxes on the shelf where it has resided for years at home. My full home system feeds only hardware: LPs and CDs, no streams. And I can't bear headphones or earbuds. So, ironically, my vast amount of listening to WFMU is via desktop, laptop, or Chromebook.

	3:15pm northguineahills: I once stayed up for 5.5 days studying for my senior BA finals, but that's only 132 hours, and I was hallucinating and lacking depth perception ("wow, those pigeons are huge!), and by the time I finished my last exam, a friend came up to me and tried to talk to me, and I couldn't literally speak.

	♥ 3:32pm coelacanth∅: i had a period of around 2 years when i rarely slept over 2 hours/day; and another year, in my twenties, when i only slept 2-3 nights/week. that did permanent harm to me. (not to belabor an issue. i was not at the computer) hey g!

	3:38pm βrian: I found that sleeping on my study materials improved my exam results.

	♥ 3:40pm coelacanth∅: βrian i guess so. i guess i was an ugly, greasy, fowl-tasting deep water fish with little commercial value aside from being a curiosity long before i knew i was.
	3:41pm northguineahills: @βrian: learning by osmosis! @coel: On the next to last exam, even w/ a pitcher of coffee, I fell asleep and failed the exam and my A in the class went to a C. My last exam I got a B-, which dragged my grade down a wee bit, but the other ones I did quite well.

	3:42pm northguineahills: During grad school, I slept 2-4 hours a night. These days, I sleep 4-5 hours a night on weekdays and 8-12 hours on weekends.

And I can't bear headphones or earbuds. So, ironically, my vast amount of listening to WFMU is via desktop, laptop, or Chromebook.
