Does anybody know Isabel Waidner, aside from being bass player in Klang, for the writing?

Ock! Missed Ben Neil! I djed before him at Halcyon around 2002 (back when it was a cafe/gallery/bar/record store in Carroll Gardens). Fun to watch live!

Now, Bernhard Gunter is definitely not terrestrial radio-friendly. Even when I had a full sound system in my car in the late 90s, I couldn't hear any of cds at all (but you hear it well at home).

In headphones it will deliver, but crappy multimedia speakers may not be ideal (sic). Either way, you kind of have to be open to it.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:39pm
david w:

I'm not advocating for headphones, specially earbuds. Most good recordings work best in the open air with nice speakers, not necessarily expensive ones. Headphones can get you inside the sound just fine; but as a fallback, convenience, privacy, anti-irritant. etc.

Events overtook me, will listen to the archive later this evening. For now, DW, catching the tail end. Hello, Ridgewood folk.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:43pm

Hello, Sem. I should have the archive up by the time you wake up tomorrow. Thanks!

There's a show of Spiegel's non-electronic works coming up soon at Kammer Klang:

This seasons final KK features a dedication to one of contemporary musics most valuable composers, Laurie Spiegel. Celebrating her lesser known instrumental works for banjo, piano and strings, Oliver Coates has arranged for and leads an ensemble especially put together for this night, featuring: Galya Bisengalieva, Robert Ames, Eliza McCarthy - Pianist and Tom McKinney.
