  3:26pm Fusco:

The band that sounded like Dave Edmunds???
  3:27pm Paddy MeBoy from NJ:

one of the rarer true covers from Al. excellent!
Avatar 3:28pm Sid:

It's hard to parody The Ramones. They had it covered.
  3:29pm noel:

It Bubbles Bill
  3:30pm Fusco:

That wasn't a parody. It was a tribute.
Avatar 3:32pm Sid:

True. Although the accordion, beyond being Al's signature, could be considered somewhat parodic.
  3:35pm Fusco:

I respectfully disagree: I have a version of Blitzkrieg Bop with bagpipes that is done totally straight. Just cause it's a weird instrument doesn't make a parody.
  3:36pm noel:

Amen Fusco
Avatar 3:39pm Sid:

Agreed. Al paid tribute to Ramones, rather than parody them, which is his trademark, because there's no easy way to parody them. Plus Al likely loves The Ramones.
  4:39pm Motobro:

All hail King Kelly

The Exciters "Do Wah Diddy" returns me to the glorious 2011 She's Got the Power Girl Group Extravaganza at Lincoln Center
Avatar 5:40pm Sid:

The Demento collection that Weird Al's Ramones take comes from looks fascinating. Wonder if Shatner's Cramps impression is Wasteland-worthy.
Avatar 7:06pm Sid:

Oops. Should've peeked ahead to the end of the playlist first. Worthy!

As a died hard Ramones fan, I think Yankovic does a nice job here.
My love goes out to bands like Cat Power, doing (I
Can't Get No Satisfaction) by the Stones. Creative & innovating.
Swag For Life Member 5:31pm Peapeagirl:

Lets keep Shatner's Garbageman, alive.
I could careless who's covering. And I love those Cramps...
