two years ago i was double billed for several months and did't pick up on it (my bad). joe mcgasko was willing to reimburse me even though he didn't have to and i said no, just stop the madness. he was very gracious.
Thinking about putting fave podcasts into Categories
...which I imagine as Streams ala FMU after winning 9-figure Lottery...:
'About Music': People talking about Music - like GearClub - so on...
'Monsters, Heroes & Spaceships': Horror, SciFi Kaiju (Godzilla), Comics...
'Why So Serious?': Comedy - like BBC Radio4 News funnies, all the great AudioCollage people, HeartyWhite & suchlike...
Thx for your contributions, dale!
Thanks Sincerely to Everyone who Pledges! Really really sincerely. You do it for us all - including impoverished sorts like me who can barely give the minimum. Thank You.
Ken....has FMU ever courted celebrity musicians ...like Springsteen for example , to donate big bucks. It seems some on them would be interested and want to support the station's mission
One thing I want to suggest to all listeners who value audio fidelity is:
Check out the 128k AAC stream! To my ears it sounds noticeably better than the 128k MP3 stream (especially when dealing with quick impulses like record ticks and pops) while using the same bandwidth as the MP3 stream.
(We upped the AAC bitrate within the last year - instead of trying to match MP3 quality at lower bandwidth, we're now trying to offer higher quality at the same bandwidth.)
Wish I could help more. Maybe consider petitioning Jack White-Depp for a hefty pledge. I hear he lives music and has deep pockets. And hats. Lots of hats
I was leaked on while using the leaky bathroom, before the umbrella. I didn't mind, but it was a stark reminder of the decrepit state of the Magic Factory.
Why don't you sell a show to a celebrity? Rather than have that person follow all the regular rules. Jack White can pay $250k to work for free. Or that famous person interviewed in the documentary.
Instead of Swag for life -- please consider "Free Form Forever". The emotional connection to funding something with purpose is not about what we get in return in terms of swag, it is about what we all support such as freedom of thought and ideas.

Ken, how did wake and bake do Vs jm? It’s been such a great success
Do you anticipate the kind of band parking issues that plagued Maxwell's in Hoboken being a problem with the selling of the parking lot for FMU? i.e. is there a concern regarding booking acts?
If all goes well and you end up setting up an endowment, will there be a limited time opportunity for people to do an extra pledge to increase the initial size of the endowment?
Ken, what are the stats for the second week of the pledge drive? Seems like all the real people seriously into supporting the station would do so in the first week
Hi Station Manager Ken, as a new swag, I am fond of the swag for life term, but how about 'beam for life' it is defined as relating to pointing to a transmitter, but has other amusing reference.
But srsly, all jesting aside, for the person who asked why not give the pirates a time slot: no, most of them run COMMERCIALS (mostly for local businesses, concert cruises, and wellness scams). FMU is non-comm.
Question: Ken I used to raise money for My law school and in politics. I don’t personally know Bruce but I would be willing to call his management. But I don’t roof, other than to put tarps.
Hey, I caught the end of something about the Android app, so I'm not sure what was said exactly. We spoke about it last year though, and I am still working on it!
60 years is actually a complete cycle in Chinese Years - 1958-2018 - EarthDog to EarthDog...In Western - both a Jupiter Return (expansion) & a Saturn Return (contraction/maturity)...Retirement Age...
