I came across a documentary on Netfilx streaming of the Rajneesh movement and their community in Antelope ,OR. Just started watching it. I saw the orange people at time in NYC but I really didn't know much about the thing .

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm

Oh good, I was worried the song was over too soon
Avatar 6:49pm

This could have ended about 5 verses ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm

some kind soul stitched all of Theodore's Letterman appearances into one long video. It's fantastic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
dale:

google his name - no end of good dirt about him. but he wasn't convicted of anything so it's all supposition.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
dale:

no - he's back. they may be 'classic' sermons but he's on shortwave. alan weiner at wbcq is giving him free airtime because alan is a born again. google him and j.p. ferraro for the story of their pirate station on a ship in long island sound that was raided by the fcc back in the 80s. j.p. ferraro owns the hyde park station whvw and plays lots of good old jazz and blues and country.
Avatar 6:53pm

@Rich thanks for the tip on the Brother Theodore youtube. It looks like the same guy also compiled all of Andy Kaufman's appearances!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
Rich in Washington:

Deuter, the German musician, was a disciple of Rajneesh. I don't know if he lived in Antelope/Rajneeshpurim, but some of his albums are influenced by his years as a Sanyasin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
Tommy in Neversink:

I TOTALLY agree Micah..the doc is very stretched out . Way too much time is spent on stuff that not essential .It's like they were just trying to make it as long as possible
Avatar 6:54pm

this stuff isn't helped by crap recording tech, i must say

Well, they are monks, after all. Or munks, variant spelling I guess.
