	10:19am Linda Lee: @TDK60 ~ missed that miff earlier but i'm with you. horribly sloppy reporting now on many fronts. we're clearly getting dumber, as a nation. no secret there. the reasons why are complex but it is true that we learn from what we read & hear via media. doesn't bode well.
	♥ 10:19am NotARealDoctor: It's very funny when we visit with my mother's family. We all still live in her hometown and so do all of her siblings and parents. Every single one of them has the same local accent except for her.

	♥ 10:21am NotARealDoctor: My mother was so embarrassed at being called out for her accent when she spent a semester at Vassar that she quickly changed all her pronunciations. But then I got it back from all my friends and classmates using that accent.

	♥ 10:21am Walt: @steveo - specifically knitting. If you let the yarn slip when you are making a stitch, it can "drop" and cause a column of stitches to unravel; you then have to get a crochet hook and "pick up" (i.e. loop back together) all of the dropped stitches.

	10:38am BronwynB: my father's whole family are appalachian coal miners from the mountains of WV. when i first saw the movie "matewan" there's a part when the more "normal" mining townspeople are having trouble with their coal bosses and these crazy hill people show up with rifles to save the day and then retreat back to the mountains. my mom said "those are your people!"

Your last name is something like Brzez-chi-kay-vitch with that same "Z" that you almost don't pronounce but you still do kind of.
