	12:57pm Rich in Washington: I was flabbergasted to hear the Beatles German version of I Want To Hold Your Hand in a Goodwill store one day. They have their own piped in radio station. Someone got creative that day. The weird thing was, no one seemed to notice in that packed store.

	1:04pm Rich in Washington: annie: I see there are a few in my town, but I don't think the ones immediately near me have thrift stores. I can't recall if I've ever been to one.
	1:06pm Rich in Washington: as much as I despise their politics, our local Salvation Army used to be my go to place for thrift store records. I've found some incredible stuff there over the years, for the more realistic price of 50¢. I once found a large collection of KPM library records there. I couldn't believe.
	1:06pm βrian: There are two Saint Vinnie's in our town. We make regular use of them.
	1:07pm Rich in Washington: I think most larger organization's thrift outlets now sell their more valuable records through their online stores. That and the youngsters have gotten into digging for 'vinyls'.

	2:27pm Rich in Washington: Toni Basil's career is amazing. I generally loathe it when people say 'one hit wonder' about anybody. Mickey was sort of a lark. She was nearly 40 when that record came out. Her laserdisc and album from that era was actually pretty cool. She's still at it in her 70s.
	2:27pm still b/p: Whatever happens in final stretch, you already have the gold in this event that brings nations together.
	2:27pm The Oscar: I spent the better part of a year thinking Toni Basil was dead. I'm not positive, but I think it's because she shared her scene in Easy Rider with Karen Black, who did pass.

	2:31pm The Oscar: Karen Black may actually have Toni beat for weird careers-- she played a major role in several of the most important films of the '70s, yet she'll be forever remembered for fighting with the killer doll in Trilogy of Terror.

	2:27pm Rich in Washington: Toni Basil's career is amazing. I generally loathe it when people say 'one hit wonder' about anybody. Mickey was sort of a lark. She was nearly 40 when that record came out. Her laserdisc and album from that era was actually pretty cool. She's still at it in her 70s.

	2:27pm The Oscar: I spent the better part of a year thinking Toni Basil was dead. I'm not positive, but I think it's because she shared her scene in Easy Rider with Karen Black, who did pass.
