For some reason, there was no march in Madison, the reason for which I haven't been able to figure out. I mean, Madison!
Avatar 8:09pm

@melinda: But I had water in my ears, initially. My doctor, she told me to irrigate with honey, or Vermont grade B Dark Amber, as an alternative.

@NGH: Maybe you should lead guided tours for those us who have barely been there.

I've explored every blockface in Manhattan, Almost all in Brooklyn but Brownsville, most in the Bronx, except the NE, and everything in Queens east of Flushing. (I like to explore regularly). Now I'm doing the same in FL.

i'm not sure i've ever even been to a club in brooklyn. when i lived down that way, in the 90s, i didn't hear about that many things happening there.

@coel: when I moved to Brooklyn in 2000, the only shows in Brooklyn I went to were unsanctioned warehouse parties. As you know, even back then, the Bedford Ave stop was dark and deserted after 10 pmish.

@Tome: I like how they interviewed the owner of Pumps.

/don't live in NYC anymore )had to move for a job), and missus moved to Crown Heights.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm
coelacanth∅:

Tome there's something very suspicious about that. 15 months? when it's running okay as we speak?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm
coelacanth∅:

haha yeah he says his girls can't afford cabs? the dancers i've known made more money than some lawyers!
Avatar 8:59pm
northguineahills:

@coel: There is actual saltwater damag to the East River tunnel. It wasn't the most urgent situation, but the oxidation needs to be dealt w/ in a somewhat timely matter (knowing the MTA, it will be longer then 15 months)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm

ah, okay. so they're probably practically rebuilding the whole thing.

@coel: 13 years ago I dated a dancer, and she made quite a bit (met her at a noise show [not a strip club guy])

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05pm

ngh no me neither! but by some weird coincidence? i must've known at least 7-8 dancers at one point. they all made bank, even the ones with armpit hair!
Avatar 9:08pm

@Tome: Billyburg is nothing but Trustafarians and yuppies anymore anyways. The hipsters are in Bushwick/Ridgewood (and the Trustafarian/yuppie bleed has been going into Bushwick for at least 5 years now). Then there are the real artists/musicians/working families.

Hey regarding Williamsburg, that 19 month L train shutdown will really push out some more f the trustafarians. I hope! How many $7 toast places filled with entitled brats does one need?
