With one notable exception, I found all the field recordings tonight on Aporee.org. This first track was described in this way by Thijs Geritz: "I was going through a box of old cassettes when I found this low fidelity recording I made on new years eve 1988 from my bedroom window when still living at my parents place.
I don't know the recording specs anymore. It was a consumer cassette player with two completely different mics."

i was in the kitchen most of the time since the fireworks, making soup. i could hear the loud bursts not much else. i have a new housemate as of yesterday and i knew he was a musician but knew nothing beyond that. then from his room i heard a flangey and beautiful drone with little tinkling accents.
-this is good news.
