Dig that crazy sound man!
  3:46pm Rocky and Mugsy:

The mob ran Reprise and Warner Bros records '67-'69
  3:49pm Al:

Several record company executives had "friends" in the mob during that time, to wit: Morris Levy of Roulette.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Sinatra started Reprise, right?
...Go ahead - trigger muh Wh♂ receptors...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

(...an appropriate label for Hendrix to be on - as everything around Him seems to have been...complicated...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm Sem Chumbo:

We went to Clifton, NJ today for the comic book show. I bought a Famous Monsters of Filmland #1 at the show. Got a great deal on it ,too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@MailmanTom: It took reading 'The Monster Show' by David J. Skal for me to realize I was a MonsterKid in MonsterCulture...
  4:29pm Stuart Taubel:

What version of "Hazy Shade of Winter" was just played? I noticed additional trumpet riffs that I never heard or remembered. Thanks
Avatar 4:33pm Mailman Tom:

That was Simon and Garfunkel doing Hazy Shade
  4:34pm Crazy Horse:

NeilYoungArchives.com , a difficult-to-navigate digital library of all his works, including his great early surf instrumentals, was released last week, but the site is currently dark. In the meantime, visit the Wikipedia entry . . . . "Get Yourself to the Workhouse" sounds like BTO . . . . Yeah, they dubbed more on "Hazy Shade of Winter" . . .
Avatar 4:34pm TehBadDr:

Oh Shite! This is some Groovy Shitza!
  4:40pm Stuart Taubel:

Yes, I know it was Simon and Garfunkel. However, this version played on today's show was different than versions I have heard in the past. Ok ?
Avatar 4:40pm glenn:

gee. macca making a decision fuelled by insecurity, i'm shocked.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Ringo was a better Drummer - & a vastly better Beatle. Still - raw deal for Pete.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Bands are like Gangs, yerknow...there's no court for recourse...
Avatar 4:45pm Mailman Tom:

I remember getting fooled into buying an LP with the title, Best of the Beatles. It was a Pete Best album of lousy demos!
Avatar 4:49pm glenn:

re: neil. - www.thestar.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I hope we can get good download speeds after the net neturality vote.
  1:22am John from CDA:

Yes, you are correct, RevRab. The Chairman started Reprise.
  1:38am John from CDA:

Bill, it was Guy Mitchell who had the hit with "Singing the Blues".
