A lot of '20s stuff in the' 60s as well, many similarities: prosperity, social change, popular illegal drugs, mass culture very important. The Depression quashed a lot of the '20s stuff; making the middle classes perpetually afraid did for much of the' 60s. (I think it was T.R.W,. who answered 'What caused the Damn Sixties?' with 'People stopped being afraid of poverty and acted as if they might have rights.'. )
