Doug Schulkind:

So so many brilliant versions of that Bread tune: Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Ralfi Pagan, Maxine Weldon, Dusty Springfield, Little Roy, etc.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:15pm
KimSorise:

Yes! I have thought of that as a premium - anyone done that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm
Doug Schulkind:

Pretty sure not!

(I always hated that Bread tune...)

And then you heard Chicago and are ready to jump ship... hahaha

hi Kim and all

The Chicago tune still manages to stir some sentiment about hearing it when I was 12. Meanwhile, Gerri is stirring sumthin' different right heah right now to which I might be susceptible at any age.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
coelacanth∅:

chicago was pretty good when they started (i think)
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
KimSorise:

Haha! I get a little nostalgic about that Chicago tune as well and Gerri - well it's just sultry. Thanks for tuning in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm
coelacanth∅:

this has nothing on the original, or even the massive attack version; but it's still pretty good.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
KimSorise:

I kind of like the DeVaughn 1980s version - if only because its give more variety of play since it's always relegated to an end of the evening record
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm
coelacanth∅:

i like it alright; and i like variety so i'm glad to hear it. i hear the original maybe average once/week for quite a long time now. i introduced it(?) at the bar i go to and now other people play it. i doubt i'll ever tire of it.
i don't think the remake is even in the jukebox.
