I should have had a dash cam. I was going 1-2 mph merging into traffic, once it was clear, the woman in front of me slammed on the brakes. I barely graced her bumper, and only noticed due to the close proximity of our cars. There wasn't even a scratch on either car (I took pics, which her insurance was very happy to have) She called the police (didn't know which one, sheriff or city police). She got out of her car to tell her friend my license plate #, and 75 minutes later when the cops got there, she asked for an ambulance. When the cop said it would be 30-40 minutes, she suddenly said she could drive home. The cop was sympathetic, and just told me "it is was it is" When he gave me the $160 citation, he insinuated that I should take it to court. as the woman would probably not show up. Fun last few days!
