Real good, mostly vocals only. But it was amplified, and I was so close to the stage it sometimes interfered with the direct voice. Pelva Naik ended with a "short" song, which meant 15 minutes only

I don't even know if my wife has her green card. I just know we've gone through two immigration interviews and she has her visa which is good for at least another 3 years.

This is a pretty monomaniacal (duomaniacal?) neighborhood -- almost everything is either Mexican or Chinese (though there's a little Dominican and a smidgen of Turkish). There are pizza places but I've heard they are terrible and that one should go to Bay Ridge for pizza.

@fred good for you the show was great. I went try to see Tuareg guitarist Mdou Moctar the other night and couldn't even get in. Way more people than the venue's capacity!

Oh, one of those Malaysian places up on 8th Ave. is good? Folks I know always talk down all the Malaysian places in NYC so I never thought to try it. I love a good roti canai though. Heck I'll even enjoy a mediocre roti canai. Was it New Belacan or Nyonya?

Too bad you couldn't see Mdou Moctar. He's playing at the Howland Center in Beacon tonight. I saw him last month, solid set but I loved the acoustic, quieter parts he used to do years ago
