...i never went to maxwells that much. maybe 10-20X. i went to the dirt club a lot; and patrix and the court tavern in new brunswick.
i saw the hüskers at city gardens though.

it did seem like a house inside though, now that you mention it. 2 rooms on the first floor, bathrooms upstairs.
- it got so crowded that sometimes coming downstairs the thing to do was jump over the railing onto the dance floor. some lovely lady once landing right in front of me and we started dancing!

As it happens, a box of 8 Hot Tuna LPs remastered (very well) to CD arrived yesterday, and I've just learned that the first HT album was recorded in a space two blocks from my abode.

...i need to explore the sir douglas quintet some. i don't know that song that mott covered, and i'm not sure i know anything of theirs beyond the first album or 2.
