Just my luck, just in time for Yoko

well, i'm number 3,533,967,742 - and i thought i was old...

Come in number 3,533,967,742. Your time is up.

if i were driving in my car right now, which is commonly what's happening at this time of a sunday, i pretty definitely would be listening to wfmu; but wouldn't be able to call you to tell you i'm driving in my car, and listening to wfmu.

OMG, I remember that movie

@Stanley: a friend of mine used to run the Forbidden Planet store in NYC. Yoko was one of his regular customers.

hey just want to say im here and digging the tunes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13am
Stanley:

@Number Six: I have to admit I'm not a big fan of Yoko. In some ways she represents a side of New York arts culture I'm not comfortable with but I let her be, though (and go make a cup of tea when she comes on).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17am
Stanley:

Oh, and then there's all that schreeching.
Avatar 4:24am
dfb:

i like her, yoko screaming part - i have big issues with the fluxus art movement
. it reeks of shoddy and lazy thinking
Avatar 4:26am
dfb:

btw the patrick cowley number rocks
Avatar 4:27am
Number Six:

@Stanley: Agreed! If she hadn't married Lennon I doubt she would even be a footnote in musical history.
Avatar 4:27am
greyscale:

yea... I'm liking this Patrick Cowley track, too...
Avatar 4:29am
Number Six:

Def YES on the Cowley!
Avatar 4:30am

Let's not forget that John Lennon married Yoko Ono too... She came at a particularly dark time in his life and gave him inspiration to continue making/experimenting with music....

fifti:

cheers from Warsaw, Poland. great radio!
Avatar 4:37am
dfb:

not a lennon fan so her marrying him is meaningless to me -- some of her yelling and screaming is totally find --it the concept behind her concepts i find generally weak-- very new york art scene like -- light lifting
Avatar 4:38am
Number Six:

@greyscale: true.

that Peak tune sounded like slo-mo tangerine dream.... Tangerine Dream/Vape

WFMU is such a broad church, I'm happy, especially this sunday morning. Great show, Zoe.

This "Time Actor" is very timely at this time...

Oh man -- you can sing "Last Christmas" over this perfectly.
Avatar 5:05am

@dfb: what I meant was that I don't think Yoko would have gotten anywhere near the level of exposure if not for Lennon and would not have had the lengthy career that she's had.

I like this music. Makes me wanna find a nice girl and go on a killin spree.

Good morning Zoe and listeners
Avatar 5:11am

@six -- could be --- i'm more (or less) interested in her art-- why one would want to be in the same room as a beatle is mystery to me. they dont strike me as bright boys
Avatar 5:12am

ha! "Good Vibrations" from the "Badlands"

wonderful

I bet Genesis knows all about that....
Avatar 5:24am

@dfb... I agree with you in regards to fluxus being visually (at best) Dada Light... However, I think that many of the musicians that were loosely affiliated with them did make some major music... I'm thinking mainly of people like Tony Conrad, Henry Flynt, and Yoko Ono.
Avatar 5:27am

@grey - i did try to say i like her singing. sorry if i'm unclear - i get like this on sunday morning
