	5:00pm Billy Jam: This show is dedicated to longtime WFMU DJ William Berger whose sudden death earlier this week shocked the WFMU community - all of whom who had great music related memories of the DJ (and musician with back catalog) and his long running WFMU radio show. Past few days I’ve listening to the “Castle of Quiet” archives that begin at Nov. 23, 2001. Those shows personified the eclecticism of WFMU and its unique breed of DJs - DJs like Berger whose sets’ many genres included West Coast rap hip-hop. In the very first archived show the DJ, who had lived in the Bay, included in his musically diverse mix the Luniz “I Got 5 On It.” With approx 400 WFMU archived shows - typically three hours - that’s a total of approx 1200 hours of archives to listen back to. For me that’s good because I missed most of his shows so now I can catch up. The passing of William Berger is reminder that you have to embrace what you love like he loved music. No time to waste. Rest in peace William Berger and thanks for the archives. - This show is coming from Denver Colorado at Meadowlark Kitchen in heart of this week's Colorado CRUSH Festival - annual aerosol art fest that takes over back alley walls as canvases. Shout out to Casey Karns and Kalyn Heffernan from Wheelchair Sports Camp and everyone in the appropriately named Mile High City
