We could all use a little jog of Irma to the west. Too many 80-300 year old trees in my hood, and I need to find a parking garage for my car. Probably won't lose water, but will lose electricity and internet for weeks, and maybe some windows. For the last three days, the SoFla refugees have been crawling through our town.Still no gas. I do have plenty of food and a gas range.

I'm near I-75 and two US highways, so, everyone coming north has been guzzling gas. My 3mi/5km commute after lunch yesterday which is usually 12 minutes was over 45 minutes due to the out-of-town traffic. I was the last one in my office, so, I wrapped up the the servers, computers, printers, etc in garbage bags and put them high off the ground. I also found a way to park the company truck in the laboratory. (I'm the only one w/o kids).

Hey Sheila! Interesting thoughts here. Just read this this morning and it’s pretty compelling: It’s written by a guy who was a black punk kid in the 1970s/1980s in Southern California and Oregon back in the day. Basically boils down to the idea that all white nationalism can be traced towards a strong anti-Semitic core. The guy works as a lawyer now but was originally in a band that eventually morphed into “Sublime” at some point. www.politicalresearch.org...
