Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Doug Schulkind:

We traffic in abstract innuendo, Little Danny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Uncle Michael:

"tamale" is not an innuendo
  12:28pm Dean:

Most mornings my 6YO daughter asks me to stroll from her feet to the top of her head, two fingers-wise. The first half of the trip entails "hiking" up one leg, forgetting the keys, returning down the other leg to retrieve them, then back to Butt Mountain, where I take in the view, then proceed to run laps around her back, and finally up the treacherous heights of her pate via her ears, where an earthquake inevitably tosses the hiker into the sea of bed sheets.

I read CLR James' "Beyond a Boundary" ages ago and have forgotten all my cricket knowledge.
Avatar 12:50pm Flash Strap:

CLR James is the best. I know we're talkin sports here but his political-historical stuff is beyond brilliant. Highly recommend The Black Jacobins

Hi Doug!
My father's cremains are in three places: a cemetery in Hartford, the Arno outside Florence, and in a backpack with his best friend's ashes and one of his dogs in the Hudson by the Bear Mountain Bridge. Some of his brain cells are in a medical library too, I think, for research on what the heck his neurological disease really was.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Doug Schulkind:

Speaking of West Coast, has anyone seen Listener Scraps on any playlist comment boards?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 2:05pm listener james from westwood:

There was a shuffleboard club near the venue of my last copyediting conference in St. Pete. A number of editors gave it a go. Taste of retirement or another excuse for editors on leave to make something a drinking game? Only their scorecards and bar tabs know the truth!
Avatar 2:06pm geezerette:

No, been thinking of Scraps too! Hope he's doing well.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 2:06pm listener james from westwood:

Wow, Scraps I have not seen for some time, speaking of copy editors (which I believe is his current or former trade). Hope he's doing well.

Do you think "Dates" in this compilation's title is referring to the word meaning a social coupling, or the word meaning the fruit?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 2:43pm listener james from westwood:

I'd tend to the former, the album cover having no actual dates on it, but I'm happy with their intending both!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Doug Schulkind:

Dates on dates. Works for me.
Avatar 2:49pm geezerette:
