	♥ 4:22pm Matt from Springfield: I enjoyed watching David Lynch's Dune, though there were a number of conceptual problems communicating the somewhat complicated story, particularly among those who had read the books. Jodorowsky's Dune would have been amazing to watch--but technically even worse in terms of storytelling: he famously didn't read the Dune novel before planning the movie! "It's not Frank Herbert's anymore, it's out there! It's a living idea! And I'm taking it straight into infinite consciousness", or something to that effect.

In the book it was about politics and how one could achieve power to order dead. In the movie it was some sonic weapon based on a word. Sorry, but one is a deeper/better concept than the other.

Jodorowsky's Dune would have been amazing to watch--but technically even worse in terms of storytelling: he famously didn't read the Dune novel before planning the movie! "It's not Frank Herbert's anymore, it's out there! It's a living idea! And I'm taking it straight into infinite consciousness", or something to that effect.
