My older one is pretty easy generally. The puppy not so, but the outside tables all had 1 or more dogs, so nobody cares about noise. We tied the leash, and she SAS good enough. The waiters bring bowls of ice water, and another comes and gives doggie treats periodically. And there are Doggie Entrees on a doggie menu!
Hi Jeff. These sounds are just the antidote to my Edinburgh Festivaling, all leg-wearibold and stimulatary overloadness. Home now with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.
Jeff: Fringe, International and Book. All happening at the same time. My humble list so far, International: Yo Carmen (Flamenco dance and music), Faiz Ali Faiz (Qawwali singer), Anoushka Shankar (India modern sitar), Book - Elif Shafik (Turkish author), Fringe: John Hegley (poet) and two exhibitions. Still to come: Magnetic Fields and Shit-faced Shakespeare.
Really enjoying Iftitah!
Got to Fringe Edinburgh once, by accident, my older daughter was starting a semester in school in LONDON, visiting her and touring. Man, it was a BLAST! Have to go again one of these days.
Sure thing, Stanley!
It was hit or miss, but it was such fun regardless. A comedian really tore into us as gun-toting Americans (this was pre-Trump), we weren't so amused (neither was the rest of the audience).
Yes, that would be nice (maybe?), @doctorjazz. I was disappointed to discover during the show today that I didn't have the Throwing Muses' "America Can't Say No," which I'd thought I had.
Everything, yes, but if you have obligations to feed and clothe others, you can afford to be selective. For example, you probably don't need all of Bobby Sherman's 45s. Among the KQ records, "Early Music" is near the top.
Great show, Jeff, thanks (I don't need Bobby Sherman's 45's.? blasphemy!)

Ginger peach sounds marvelous, a little exotic, even. Fresh ginger or powder? My neighbor gave us a bunch of apples. I'll make pies, and maybe I should include ginger.
