Here is the reference card John Lomax created for this performance in the Library of Congress files: www.loc.gov...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am Ike:

That card makes it look like "Willie George Albertine King" is a single name. But I haven't had a cup of tea yet, so I'm not sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32am Doug Schulkind:

Two separate people. Ms. King was speaking/singing for about 98% of that selection, but still she is listed second behind Mr. George. Hello, Ike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am David D:

Great to hear you again, Doug!

This morning I had an interesting dream involving a tiny baby elephant that I was supposed to be looking after, but it kept running loose. It was sort of fuzzy.

heya Doug. You know I have to chime in now...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Doug Schulkind:

For a jock, I am quite strapping, Mr C.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Doug Schulkind:

Mark Williams! I know how to pull you out from the shadows! Please chime in with any deep knowledge.
  10:52am Mark Williams:

hah. Well, Drumbago was an old-time drummer who died in 1969. He was a generation older than all the musicians going at this time, and his heyday was during the ska era, especially on Treasure Isle & Prince Buster productions. His style was a lot different than the Skatalites' Lloyd Knibbs, which shows you there were variations in sound during even those early recordings. There were a couple of Drumbago tribute tunes, but you played the best one, hands down. Clancy Eccles production. Same musicians that would've recorded all the great Maytals and Dekker tunes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54am Doug Schulkind:

Mark Williams delivers the goods!
  10:55am Mark Williams:

I loved that Willie George/Albertine King bit, btw.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Doug Schulkind:

Yes. Not every day that you hear a recording of a person born a slave.
  10:58am Mark Williams:

Last two tracks (I Roy, Trinity) are good examples of Studio One rhythms being revitalized 5-10 years after the fact and made into entirely new songs. There are sooooo many examples of this.
  11:00am Dean:

@ljfw: If you're still here, just this a.m. I read another "proved"-instead-of-"proven," this one from Werner Heisenberg in 1955, in an English language contribution to a volume of tributes to Niels Bohr. He wrote, "a certain one among the various possibilities has proved to be the real one." I'm thinking British English, e.g., Brookner's, takes "proved." Heisenberg adopted British for the piece.

Anyone out there love apples? This selection is for you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Doug Schulkind:

Eldridge Devlin sounded a smidge West Indian. The track is on a comp of "lost UK soul," so it's possible.
