When I was a teenager, I house sat for a friend of my parents. Their adult son had a bunch of Stereolab vinyl, 10"s, 7"s, etc. I called him to ask if I could listen to them. He told me I could have them. I was very happy that day.

When I was 20 I drove 6 hours to see Stereolab. My friend and I arrived early, and we saw them arrive in the tour bus, and they chatted w/ us. I had my first beer (I was previously straight-edge). It was a good road trip.

I might have to catch the interview in the archives. I'm in the middle of moving.

Sheila, I'm currently coordinating a Debsey retrospective radio program (co-hosted by Faye) to coincide with her Saint Etienne appearance in New York.

Also, I'd love to see your copy of Demonstration Tapes — mine (No. 0407) is the only copy I've actually ever seen. I've only heard about Mike A.'s copy.
