Wonderful Tim Buckley tune.
Avatar 9:04am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Tim...that's how I know I've found a webio home.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am Uncle Michael:

I'm singin' "Bowling Green" over the intro to "Buzzin' Fly".
Avatar 9:04am annie:

starting it out with tim buckley!!
Avatar 9:08am vanya moscow:

Yeah!
  9:11am Jack:

'Morning!
  9:14am mrmucho:

hi Bob...the series of LPs George Barnes did with Ruby Braff in the 70s are absolutely stellar. They are easy to find and cost next to nothing.
Avatar 9:17am annie:

damn!!!
Avatar 9:22am annie:

after all this time, there are some opening notes which are unmistakeable as what tune we are going to hear..
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:25am WilliamfromDumont:

The Paupers and Paul Butterfield backing PP&M.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am Philair95:

Hmm, that sounds suspiciously like Bud Powell...
  9:30am Stuart Rose:

Just got up. Missed most of what is really a top notch Bob musical masala.

Nice to hear the Barnes/Braff recordings are available. Elegant and tasteful jazz players.
Avatar 9:34am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Savor that set.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:40am WilliamfromDumont:

PP&M single was the first Basement Tape tune released.
  9:42am mrmucho:

mcvie/fleetwood rhythm section really shining here
  9:49am Stuart Rose:

Hey Annie, so the birthday week festivities are over. Welcome and have a great year.
  9:49am falstaff:

lovin' it. make a request box tops? soul deep?
Avatar 🥁 9:59am duke:

I just listened to Sopwith Camel the other day. I hadn't heard them in a million years.
Avatar 9:59am annie:

thanks stuart!! it's been a blast really.. the plus side is that i did not experience a downer-feeling like i do this time each year. :)
Avatar 10:16am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Let us @ last praise the BeachBoys' third act.
Avatar 10:18am Roberto:

Good to know that this is what music will sound like some 9000 years in the future :)
  10:26am paul:

How many different box sets are there from the Smile/Pet Sounds/Smiley Smile sessions? There must be a ton of overlap. Is there a reason to buy the new one? I'd really like to know. Thanks.
Avatar 10:28am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The Pet Sounds Sessions box is rich - but pretty sharply focused. It has 'Good Vibrations' (rightly) but that's about it.
  10:28am paul:

Bob? Anyone?
  10:29am paul:

RRN63, you're holding about the one from a few years ago?
  10:31am paul:

talking, not holding....sorry
Avatar 10:31am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I mean the big box from (gulp) 20 years ago: en.wikipedia.org...
  10:32am paul:

Thanks. Would you recommend the latest box?
Avatar 10:32am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Don't have it - but wish I did.
  10:33am paul:

Thanks, RRN63 and Bob!
  10:36am Stuart Rose:

Thanks, Rev, for the advice. Sharply focused box sets beat ' including the kitchen sink' collections, especially for those of us who are not completists.
  10:38am paul:

I'm a pseudo-completist, so I'm torn.
  10:39am paul:

Was ELO an orchestra? :)
Avatar 10:39am SmokinJ:

Three pieces bb... Bass Guitar & Drums=Orchestra 8-)
Avatar 10:39am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Six.
  10:40am Stuart Rose:

Paul, don't tear the ole' wallet.
  10:41am paul:

I usually don't. That's the problem.
  10:42am paul:

I read "fear" instead of "tear."
  10:44am paul:

I should get the Nick Lowe re-releases instead. But $$$
  10:48am Stuart Rose:

I'm not one to talk- having dozens and dozens f unread books lurking about. But i guess to ask yourself is whether you'll get to the album. I enjoy being parasitic off all the money Bob has spent on music over the decades.
  10:50am paul:

Good point Stuart. I probably have 40 books about the Beatles I haven't read.
  10:51am paul:

Also have an unopened 9-disc Leonard Cohen box.
  10:52am paul:

And a Sly Stone box.
  10:55am paul:

Neon Demon. Hot women. Horrible movie.
Avatar 🥁 11:00am duke:

Great show Bob
