I have developed a frantic nose picking technique that while not being totally safe, allows me to pick my nose mostly unnoticed in the workplace. I simply don't understand why those little slimey things started turning into medium-sized, crusty continents in my nose. It's very hard to focus with that in your nose. Especially when your job is basically a 5 minute copy/paste routine on a large twin-screen workputer.

Sloatsburg fun fact:

Sloatsburg, originally Pothat, was named after the Sloat family. During the American Revolutionary War, the stage route became an important military route and the Ramapo pass an important strategic point, occupied by American troops throughout the war. George Washington traveled through the area several times and stayed in Sloat's Tavern at least once, on June 6, 1779.
