Would love new amps, just 'cuz, but everything I want is out of reach $-wise. Planning just to hang out. Owner is a former recording engineer with quite a CV. You've heard of, say, the band Boston?
	11:45am Jeff Golick: Yes, they had a pretty big album, as I recall (from when I lived near Boston, in fact).
	11:47am Dean: Earth, Wind & Fire, Little Feat...the list goes on. Really nice guy. I brought a CIMP CD to his store, one with Marshall Allen and Lou Grassi, to show off the engineering. He was impressed, but he kinda chuckled at the musical goings-on.
	11:48am Uncle Michael: I bought my tube amp 10 years ago, when I was flush.

	11:50am Dean: What did you get, @UM? I have Muse 175s, solid-state monoblocks, c.1994. They're actually terrific, but I want the next level of resolution and oomph.

	11:52am Uncle Michael: I bought the original Rogue Cronus and later had it upgraded to the Cronus Magnum. I recently balked at the upgrade to the Magnum II. I got it at the same time I got the schmancy turntable. They're feeding spkeakers I bought in 1984.
	11:55am Dean: I've had my turntable since '83, a Linn Sondek LP12, tricked out with all the upgrades. That is, all the upgrades until Linn declined to continue targeting my wallet's demo. The last series of upgrades would have cost me more than the previous ones and 'table combined.
	11:55am Dean: Would love to hear that Rogue.
	11:56am glenn: this kinda makes me think that robert wyatt should record tupelo honey.

	11:57am Uncle Michael: Yeah, the Linn was a fetish item for me back then. I got the Systemdek IIx back then, because I could afford it. It's refurbed now and in a box in the basement. I'd like to figure out which room to use it in. Next time you're over we'll turn my amp up.

Would love new amps, just 'cuz, but everything I want is out of reach $-wise. Planning just to hang out. Owner is a former recording engineer with quite a CV. You've heard of, say, the band Boston?
	11:45am Jeff Golick: Yes, they had a pretty big album, as I recall (from when I lived near Boston, in fact).
	11:47am Dean: Earth, Wind & Fire, Little Feat...the list goes on. Really nice guy. I brought a CIMP CD to his store, one with Marshall Allen and Lou Grassi, to show off the engineering. He was impressed, but he kinda chuckled at the musical goings-on.

	11:52am Uncle Michael: I bought the original Rogue Cronus and later had it upgraded to the Cronus Magnum. I recently balked at the upgrade to the Magnum II. I got it at the same time I got the schmancy turntable. They're feeding spkeakers I bought in 1984.
	11:55am Dean: I've had my turntable since '83, a Linn Sondek LP12, tricked out with all the upgrades. That is, all the upgrades until Linn declined to continue targeting my wallet's demo. The last series of upgrades would have cost me more than the previous ones and 'table combined.
	11:55am Dean: Would love to hear that Rogue.

	11:57am Uncle Michael: Yeah, the Linn was a fetish item for me back then. I got the Systemdek IIx back then, because I could afford it. It's refurbed now and in a box in the basement. I'd like to figure out which room to use it in. Next time you're over we'll turn my amp up.
