Zarah was an interesting character as a big star in WW2 Germany. Not Leni Riefenstahl at all, but no Marlene Dietrich, either. She didn't hang with the party at all, but took their money. In Swedish kronor wired directly to her homeland, which she fled to mid-war.

@C.C.: if the records I buy are particularly dirty, I use wood glue. You run the turntable, put some glue on the record (vinyl part only!!) and use something flat (e.g. piece of cardboard) to smooth it out. Then leave it out overnight to dry and peel it off in the morning. The wood glue cannot bind to vinyl, so it comes right off.
