Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from June 23, 2017 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

I learned how to pronounce Greenwich from Doctor Seuss, who wrote of Greenwich spinach.
For wacky pronunciation it's hard to beat Missouri. Versailles rhymes with pails, Bolivar has the accent on the first syllable, which is a Ball. They also have a town named for the capital of Afghanistan, but it's spelt Cabool

Tracks like this simultaneously make me annoyed and relieved that this truck is only capable of 70

whenever i'm driving hard, in either a truck or a car (but not on a bike) and there's no music on, i think of "hard drivin' man" from "full house". (j giels band)

Coelacanth, I go to the Ricky Skaggs album cut "One Way Rider". Albert Lee on Tele, Ricky on mandocaster (5 string mandolin sized Tele) and Bruce Bouton on steel. Wasn't a chicken in Davidson County left unpicked

Picked up a Humble Pie release, 3 disks in the first volume of a "bootleg" series curated by Jerry Shirley. Sound is so-so (bootleggy), but the shows are over-the-top. HP were playing arena rock avant la lettre.

The Dan - you're so naughty, UM.
