Favoriting June 20, 2017: THOMAS ANDREW DOYLE (TAD, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth)
Thomas Andrew Doyle (TAD, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth, Hog Molly, Hoof) joins Morricone Island for a listen and to discuss his "return-to-roots" latest release entitled "Incineration Ceremony." Although perhaps best known for his years as the singer/guitarist for Sub Pop’s TAD, Doyle spent his formative years as a drummer playing jazz clubs while studying classical percussion at Boise State University. “Incineration Ceremony” is his symphonic take on the dark and dreary textures, rhythms and material rolling around in his head informed by the likes of Morricone, Varese, Bartok and horror films. Not for the meek at heart.  Go to taddoyle.com for more info.

is it T. Andrew Doyle or T. Arthur Doyle? Or is it Thomas Arthur Conan Doyle?

Listener Robert:

Funny that I happen to be reading Sagan's "Contact" these days, & remarking how I couldn't help but hear it in his voice -- which voice I found annoying!
  7:33pm
Listener Robert:

He sounds a lot better on this than in the caricature of his voice I have in my head.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Sagan was friendly w/ Tim Leary. Just sayin'.
Avatar 7:35pm
Cheri Pi:

Shout out to Arthur Doyle

Listener Robert:

I went to one of Leary's late-in-life appearances. He and Robert Anton Wilson co-whatevered a demo of virtual reality. The event was less interesting than Wilson, Leary, and virtual reality each were separately.
