Wow. Dan. All.

Dan, do you like the laughing records that MAC plays?
Avatar 🍳 7:03pm
ranjit:

Half hoping and half dreading that you're actually gonna play all over 45 minutes of this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm
Dan Bodah:

Should I play this whole thing or what.
Avatar 🍳 7:04pm
ranjit:

NO. But maybe yes.

After all, you already ruined a good string of DJ slots with your bs, so you might as well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm
Dan Bodah:

Fuck you anon. Do whatever you want, we aren't programming radio to make you happy. Goodbye.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm
joe mulligan:

I had no idea someone crying would harbor such anger!
  7:08pm
Listener Robert:

Yes, it's a moving song. I moved recently, & I know you did too, and there's plenty of crying in that!

But seriously, it MUST've been moving to get complaints like that on the playlist. Shows how uncomfortable people are with crying, compared to all sorts of other sounds. It didn't bother me, but I'm not guaranteeing it wouldn't've at some point -- who could tell?

Wow, and getting you to curse back on the comments! Mild-mannered Dan doesn't provoke easy. So much emotion all around.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm
Dan Bodah:

Hi Joe! & Ranjit, Common. @Folsom, yeah, I have played those laughing records (and there are some crying records inspired by them as well) -- they fall into the Vocal Fry soup.

anon, you should call up Bruce Pavitt and tell him like it is

@anon you should just go now so the rest of us can listen in peace
  7:10pm
shtus:

dan bodah i love the music you play on vocal fry and airborne event. vocal fry is great it plays songs where people stretch their vocal chords to the max and do stuff you never dreamed was possible. anon, if you are a pusillanimous jerk and cant appreciate it go listen to the backstreet boys
  7:11pm
Listener Robert:

And for once it's not me arousing ire on the comments! Field Marshal Ken's got me down to <= 3 comments/show. So far it's working, making me think before I comment. But I tend to make longer ones.

wow im sorry to see some hatred up in here i very much do enjoy this show so very much thanks Dan! Tu eres el hombre!

@anon - People don't listen to stations that have had the same playlist for 30 years because they "love music". They just love familiarity.
  7:12pm
Listener Robert:

Gotta admit, though, that last one by anon, old as that line is, got me LOL!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm
joe mulligan:

shhhhh anon, we're trying to pray peacefully here. please be nice or leave
  7:13pm
JakeGould:

To be fair, WFMU is the only radio station on in the tr-state area since that evacuation warning an hour or so back. Hoping can can let us know when it’s safe to open our eyes and windows again. PU that gas attack smells!

JakeGould:

Also, anyone in South Brooklyn want to form a tribal community in this moment of crisis? I have some cool stuff we can share.

I don't hate anon, I just think he's misguided. I'm sure the other eleven of us feel the same way.
