@JasonInBoston - I spent many nights at the Chameleon. And Big City, the 80s alterna-teen club in York, PA (straight out of Pretty In Pink). The Uptown Theatre was a few blocks above my university in North Philly. It was dilapidated and closed, but I would always just look at it in awe of everyone who played there.
