Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Thanks Doug, we are juggling a few minor crises here like lost phones and overly salty almonds and got flummoxed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm
Doug Schulkind:

How funny! I was in a band in high school called the Overly Salted Almonds.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:32pm

And I was in a musical called "It's Alive!"

We were called the Overly Brothers by our closest compatriots.

hi david and others! what's a good place to find out about events at the sump? all i can find online is a very sparse facebook page. i'm pretty nearby and would love to hear more of these beautiful outer space noises up close when i can.

Good question. The Facebook page is the best. Also just haunting David Watson and his page.

Also, the Work series itself has a page:

Would welcome a tape-based show! The more tape hiss on the stream the better!

@Dave in Vermont: There's another whole hour, so stick around!

Though it's not a hiss-based program, a new show is coming to Give the Drummer Radio. Listen for the launch on May 11, 3-4pm!

Thanks for playing this, David. Really nice mix & the live stream sounds great. BTW, the piece is called "City of Vorticity," and a CD is available on Pogus, feat soloists Al Margolis, Peter Zummo, and Alan Zimmerman. Thanks again.

weinstein:

Delighted, Tom. You re on tour with this piece now yes?
  4:31pm
Tom Hamilton:

Tour starts May 3. We'll do some different duo things including this and for sure do "Vorticity" in Cleveland with some other folks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm
Dave in Vermont:

Have a link to tour dates, Tom?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:44pm

I see they are in DC at Rhizome May 3 but can't find a dependable tour calendar. Al's site looks like its dated 2011!

James Pugliese played live on my show back in the early '90s. I forget who with.
