Man, wish I made it to the Houston Dj Screw record shop before it closed (about 12 years after his death). In cumbia terms, screwed and chopped would be (cumbia) rebejada.

I few months before I moved to NYC in the summer of 2000, I got a few friends of mine to come up w/ me (or meet me) to see John Fahey at the somewhat old Knitting Factory (not the oldest), we had tix, waited in line for hours, but, he decided not to show up. Crestfallen, we all went back to FL. A yearish later, he died,
