Something about those openers would make them at home in a Tarantino soundtrack.

I grew up in Revere, MA. Still wear a Red Sox hat and consider myself a Bostonian. Didja catch my accent?

Nice to see the old homepage. I like seeing the regular and GTDR streams 'now playing' simultaneously.

I did catch it, was even going to guess eastern MA. I had one. Lost it pretty completely and now it drops in and out.

@doctorjazz: I saw Horse Lords on Saturday, very nice show. I got to chat briefly with one of them, mainly to point him to the right contact at Instants Chavirés for a possible future tour. I also saw a bunch of local acts two days ago, a free showcase that tends to go all over the place, which I like. And yesterday I saw Les Filles de Illighadad, predictably great, with a very cool opening set by Guilhem Lacroux (but many people didn't care and were talking loudly, I have to catch him again)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm
doctorjazz:

Cool, @Fred. I get exhausted just reading about your concert outing schedule.
Mostly get out to hear jazz, next up: Dave Douglas in Philadelphia in a week and a half. Some good shows in Manhattan, Greg Cohen doing a few day run at The Stone, Masada String Trio tonight (but I'm working late, won't work. He's leading interesting bands until Sunday night, maybe shlep in (my Brooklyn accent coming out).

Steve K! Love the show. Tracy Nelson's voice is whiskeyed honey or maybe honeyed whiskey.

Accents: I hear Boston but you've got the Jersey "str"
which is SCHTR

@doctorjazz: You do keep quite busy yourself! Saturday I'll see an Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker dance show on A Love Supreme. I already saw it, but with different dancers. I'm curious to see how that changes the piece. That means I'll miss most of Mayuko's show, thank Kenzo for the archives
