Favoriting March 21, 2017: DUNGEN (The Adventures of Prince Achmed)
Stockholm's Dungen joins Devon to discuss their latest album Häxan and current tour in support with select film screenings of German animation pioneer Lotte Reiniger's 1926 The Adventures of Prince Achmed, accompanied by the Swedish quartet's original psych/prog/folk live score. Prince Achmed is the oldest known surviving animated feature length film, pre-dating Disney's Snow White by more than a decade. Released on Black Friday Record Store Day Nov. 2016, Häxan is Dungen's first all-instrumental album. The U.S. of the tour leg ends Tuesday, March 21st at The Getty Museum in Los Angeles before the band heads back to Europe for more dates.
