Heya Irwin, I met a guy in a bar last night that has your Key of Z books and raved about them. He was shocked that I knew all of the artists he was mentioning. I was shocked, too. Small world, especially out here in broken dam land.

Carm: Thanks for conveying. There's actually only one Key of Z book, never got around to volume 2. You wanna tackle it?

Joe needs to stop interrupting him by answering his rhetorical questions. And he needs to stop asking them. Still its funny.

Being from the south , I didn't have a bagel until I moved to NYC at age 23. I wasn't very impressed but the other NYC food offerings more than made up for that
  4:36pm
Listener Robert:

It's W220EG. Some xltrs do identify by sign, when their primary station includes them in a list. I used to listen to W276AQ, Ft. Lee (I used to imagine their radiator as on the NJ-side tower of the GWB) when they were Jukebox Radio, and they were effectively the primary station, their legal primary being someplace in northern NJ with much less coverage than the xltr, and they did ID by their xltr call sign. But most just ID xltrs the same as you do, "...and in Rockland County on 91.9."

Faith & Existentialism Theatre. Is it a touch racist? If Joe wasn't happy to show everyone including himself as foolish...& writing both parts w/ some identification anyhow...hm...

RRN63: Legally, no, because they only recorded one composition. You can't copyright an arrangement of a copyrighted tune (altho the publisher of the copyrighted tune can claim it).

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24pm

The lyrics and melody were from "Very Good Year." The rhythm and instrumental arrangement were "White Rabbit." The credited composition is the former, not the latter.

This is a great MF album.

Dennis Diken:

great show Irwin. the sound at the top of "Mystery" is a heavily-reverbed Marxophone. see John S play it on an Ed Sullivan Spoonul performance of the song on youtube. the outro vocals are a round of "the more I, more I, more I see, the more I see there is to see" against another round of "she's a mystery to me"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm
Irwin:

Wow, thanks for the technical details, Dennis. It's a fascinating sound and adds so much to the arrangement.
