Always recommend book 'This is Your Brain On Music' - which posits evidence that the appeal of Music to the Brain depends on a combo & balance of predictability & novelty (which is kinda self-evident & makes sense in hindsight). The next question is why say FMUvians' needles tick so much farther in the direction of Novelty. Our brains likely process (&/or have processed) more Music than average - & / or - faster - & it becomes Predictable to us more readily...
