By the way, I think the key lesson of the Gospel of Mars is that one should support the station
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm

Wonderful, the pipa is probably my favorite instrument

This is kind of a pip display as she pulls out several different ones (and explains them)

Thanks Doc. I'd be happy if his mommy sentenced him to a permanent time out. Stand in the corner without your toys for the next 30 years.

This music is so beautiful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm

Don't worry, geezerette, he won't be at the white house for long. Once Jeff Koons has remodeled it, that name won't hold for long. And that address: why is it 1600, it should be 1! And of course Pence-Ivana avenue has to change too: do you think he'll stay in a street named for his butler and an ex?
Avatar 3:04pm
geezerette:

Funny!!! Nice to meet another non - lover of Koons.
BTW, Pence looks exactly like a Meerkat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm
fred:

I once saw a solo Jen Shyu show were she gave background about each instrument she played, most from Taiwan, one from Timor. Well, not really all of them, she didn't say a word about the piano
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:19pm
weinstein:

Probably because the piano is the tyrannical beast of all instruments that obliterated half of our musical language (and I'm a piano player!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm
fred:

I saw 75 dollar bill a few months ago, a memorable set. Too bad I'll be at a dance show again next week
Avatar 3:24pm
Scraps deSelby:

I am the original non-lover of koons. Well, at least way way back. Since he coopted someone else's art and when he objected Koons sneered that the other artist wasn't really art, and when Koons coopted it that made it art. I didn't like that guys art, but that schoolboy, lofty retort was aggravating. It was Art as class fighting.

75 $ Bill is expanding its personnel beyond Che and Rick B. You didn't hear it here first, but watch this thing grow. Great project.

Going to make lunch. Still listening!

Same wavelength for sure. Gorgeous. It's complex, but every element is so discreet and precise!

Burning Water, a song about Cleveland's Cuyahoga River, circa 1969. Good day Ridgewoodians!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm

Sure. Did any of you get to the Dr. PO memorial events at the Park Ave Armory on Monday?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:55pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm
coelacanth∅:

- and scrolling up i see and i agree about the piano. the tempered scale is a compromise and "music theory" the way it's taught is bullshit. it basically says white europeans' way is the only way.
...at least that's how it seems to me.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:04pm
weinstein:

OK! one week all piano music!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm

You can do Michael Harrison's harmonic piano pieces!
