Welcome to the Super Bowl of Rock & Roll!
Avatar 3:34pm Old Dave:

Mr Kelly has provided the perfect soundtrack for re-painting a bedroom today...
thanks, Bill!
Avatar 3:35pm geezerette:

Burp. :)
Avatar 3:38pm Mailman Tom:

"Hey Little One" was covered by the Grateful Dead in early 1966
Avatar 3:40pm thriftstoreleather:

  3:42pm turbo tommy:

geez louise what the hell was that song at 3:35...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...if they don't end this tune w/ a Beatle Wooo I want my money back...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...oh they did the chord, good enuff...
  3:46pm Name That Tune @ 3:40:

"Follow Me Home" - The Mystery Lights

Avatar 3:52pm Old Dave:

That was great.
Let us not forget, the Strats all made in Mexico now... and they play fine.
I don't know how to make one.
Somos amigos, Mexico!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm Fuzzy:

Not ALL Strats are made in Mexico (i.e American Standards, Custom Shop, etc.) -- mine was though (in 2003). Yep, she plays good -- will play better when I finish the electronics upgrades.
  4:04pm el Chapo:

deport me!
  4:09pm Stuart:

The only time I ever heard PJ Proby on NY radio was when Niki Hokey was a current song that Scott Muni played on his Things from England segment. We're talking 1967 or 68. Wikipedia says thus was his only US hit ( not chart placement), but AM radio in NYC never played him
Avatar 4:12pm Old Dave:

That's right, Fuzzy!
Guess i mean the ones a kid could afford in 2017.
My own kid loves his... Viva Mexico!
  4:21pm Al:

Earl Slick recorded a song called "PJ Proby".
Avatar 4:22pm geezerette:

this gee-tar!!!
  4:28pm Al:

PJ Proby, who's from America, on Things from England? Because he first found success in England!
  4:30pm RockLafd:

"I Can Read Between the Lines"...wasn't that originally by Gary Lewis & the Playboys?
  4:31pm noel:

Scott started things from England around the time that Slade emerged. around 71 72
Avatar 4:31pm geezerette:

smokin' show!!!!
Avatar 4:33pm Old Dave:

@ el Chapo: Why? You have a film to write, and a Trump regime interested in learning your secrets for fantastic wealth.
Drugs being a key.
Plead to lesser charges and let them make you our next President.
  4:33pm noel:

The Beatles could have sued the Roulettes but since they never cut the mustard (or Mean Seed) they never bothered.
  4:35pm noel:

El Chapo did a film with Sean Penn that landed him in the Pen. No more movies for him. Hard to film 50 feet under the Colorado desert.
Avatar 4:40pm Old Dave:

There's always another film. These guys want attention in their weird ways...
  4:41pm Al:

A lot of bands emulated the Beatles back in the day.
4:41pm Paul Revere & the Raiders:

The Redcoats are coming!
The Redcoats are coming!
Go Patriots
Avatar 4:46pm geezerette:

but we're going in circles...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Lyme & Cybelle' - it's Warren Zevon!
Avatar 4:48pm Mailman Tom:

I liked it when all the professional sports teams consisted of only local talent.
Avatar 4:49pm geezerette:

the stands look pretty empty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

FakeBeatles - it's a thing: blog.wfmu.org...
Avatar 4:52pm geezerette:

Hilarious!
  4:53pm Stuart:

Scott Muni did an English top 20 count down that started when he was on WOR-FM 1966-67 and continued when he moved to WNEW-FM. Whatever was in the British top 20 whether it was in the format or not, he played it. And he played album cuts before they were released here, like Boris the Spider, Dear Mr Fantasy, etc. I'm old enough to remember it.
  4:53pm Al:

Violet Santangelo, the other half of Lyme & Cybelle, went on to star in Man of La Mancha on Broadway.
  4:56pm Al:

Thanks Bill for a great show. Now I can watch the Super Bowl with Real Rock & Roll in my head. Hope Lady Gaga doesn't kill the buzz!
Avatar 4:58pm geezerette:

Bill, great party today! Muchos gracias!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yes Thx !
  5:25pm noel:

I listened to Scott once he moved to WNEW. He was on while I was working and in the army. I was a Rosko, Alison Steel, Scelsa listener. But Fass Post and Scelsa were my main listen.
