I must share my thoughts with those who seem to be sympathetic to my beliefs. I subscribe to the NYTimes. I have for quite some time. I can no longer read or look at page1 or even the entire first section. Way too depressing. I do not have my head in the sand ,either. I recently saw a photo of a polar bear from the arctic circle who has now had to come to populated areas of Alaska and forage for food on the outskirts of town! His(or hers) source of food has also struggled or moved on as well. I will never forgat that photo taken maybe 50 to 100 ft. away but it was looking at the camera! At us! We can now look forward to an administration who deny the effects of global warming so things will get even worse. O woe is Me! and us!

@jerry h. No need to apologize. Many of us feel the same. It's very grim at the moment :(

I find joy in completely inane things like segueing from an extreme 80s J-pop record into the very classy Jane Weaver and discovering they're in the same key :)
  4:21pm

I'm convinced that segue was bred in a lab, @djsheilab. It was almost TOO perfect, and messed with my mind....

Nothing against the New York Times. Sometimes I look at all this horrible stuff going on and think "thank you nyt for bringing this to most people's attention".
