Anna May Wong, star of screen, stage, radio, and television!
  1:14pm warm blankets:

Ah, the "howl-elujah" chorus, signaling the start of another great Rex show.
  1:14pm djsheilab:

Digging this one!
Avatar 1:23pm Juke Joint Jonny:

hmmm… uncharacteristically this is not a glam look for Anna May Wong. No Dragon Lady routine here. But nice to see her in motion.
Avatar 1:23pm Marc Francis:

Howdy Rex! Howdy fools!
  1:35pm Brez:

Mmm, snake dance! I think they call it a "lap dance" nowadays. Not that I'd know anything about THAT!
Avatar 1:40pm Marc Francis:

WOW. This bass line is amazing!
  1:41pm John McGreivey:

More Songs About Poultry and Reptiles!
Avatar 1:58pm hyde:

aw, no Fannie Flagg?

Novelty records and holiday cheer aside, for me the big draw of the Annual Fool's Paradise Office Party in two words: MEAT POPS.
2:01pm For those that do not know...:

Kid Thomas worked as a lawn mowing man in Los Angeles in the latter half of the 1960s.

On September 3, 1969, while driving his truck he struck a young boy and killed him.

Arrested on a charge of manslaughter, the charge was later dismissed for lack of evidence.

However, the boy's father waited outside the courthouse and shot him.

Kid Thomas died at UCLA Medical Center, Beverly Hills on April 5, 1970.

I would like to make a personal plea to include Jaye P. Morgan in next week's festivities. If she's available, that is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Gaylord Fields:

@Juke Joint Jonny: For me, it's the annual airing of Yuletide greetings from beatniks, drunken news organization staffers, and unfortunate ethnic impersonators!
Avatar 2:13pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Yes, @Gaylord, that's the stuff that warms the grinchiest Scrooge's heart.
  2:22pm Brez:

Oh, I thought he was saying Fry Girl, fry for me. Sort of a Hannukah latkes vibe. Oh well!

Xmas cookie update: the berets are going on the Bops-Ahoys right now! We'll have a Dizzy Gillespie Christmas!
Avatar 2:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...who knows, Gaylord - under the new Administration, that could all make a comeback...
Avatar 🌮 2:30pm Mailman Tom:

Swing you sinners!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Gaylord Fields:

@Revolution Rabbit Nov63: My point exactly. It would lose its one-day-a-year specialness.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Gordon Hathaway:

I'm just a party doll.
Avatar 2:32pm Marc Francis:

I'm something new!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Fud:

This no brow clip is my favorite
  2:34pm P-90:

Nye's Tonight Show castmate Tom Poston also sorely missed
Avatar 2:37pm Marc Francis:

@Fud: Mine too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Gaylord Fields:

@P-90: If you have the Buzzr cable channel, you can witness Tom Poston's madcap antics daily on To Tell the Truth, ca. 1962. He comes off as both really well informed and a silly billy at the same time.
Avatar 2:44pm woim:

I wonder if Rex has that Louie Nye "Like" soft drink spot....it's a gem
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm Philthy woman:
