Hello Faye, RevRabbit, SugarWolf and Paul D.

And this “Vital Idles” is really nice.

Snow is better than the freezing rain that is supposed to hit tomorrow in NY/NJ.
Avatar 5:49pm
@sugarwolf@:

Yeah, I don't want freezing rain, hope it just is regular rain
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm

good one, rev rab!!

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...here in NH - ya get used to the idea that it might actually be warmer if it snows...it might actually be better for locomotion than just ice, too, even...
  5:51pm
JakeGould:

Yeah, last week—or was it week before?—it was just rainy for 2 days straight. So I spent my whole 1 hour lunch break in a nearby Pret-A-Manger… So miserable… Especially since the staff was cheering every 5 minutes or so to give a random person a “surprise” gift cookie or something.

I would have loved a free cookie, but the forced staff joy was soul sucking.

“Snow problem!” is what Alf (snowman version) would say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm

Alf makes me feel extremely depressed

sweet sounds as always Faye! looking for a foot of snow by late tomorrow here in the catskills!

P-90:

Hi Faye! Thanks for the gift of gif for the holidaze
  6:11pm
JakeGould:

@Faye: I am really sorry about that…

If it means anything, in the early days of streaming, YouTube was proudly showing episodes of Alf… I was excited! But then after 10 minutes I felt really, really depressed… The show makes no sense without the commercials… When you concentrate on the plot it’s so bad.

It's snowing in this Hyde Park (Chicago), too!! Hi Faye. Great show, as always

Ottawa is where that Justin Trudeau guy lives. He's cool.
Also that David Johnston guy, the Governor General. I'm reading his book of letters, glenn.
Neither man would be acceptable in US political office... they think too much, and seem to
have something called empathy! Maybe even souls?
  6:57pm

switching off. thank you again Faye.

radiator hospital is worth seeing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00pm

Some maintain that Trudeau is like a NeoLiberal..but since the OranguReich became ascendant, that does seem like petty bitching...

unfortunately ~ it's neoliberal policy that create conditions favoring the Cheetoh Bandito & others like him ... so i'd just as soon lose those too.

sorry for tense confusion there. my meds are late.
Avatar 7:06pm

I'm afraid it will be gone soon enough, Rabbit. Friends in the Great White North tell me they just follow US lead on every damn thing, in slow (years) time.

Thanks. glenn! Unbelievable and heart-warming. Personal freedom being the main thing we ain't got
compared with yourselves.

Faye where did you find that Wild Swans album?
  7:21pm
Paul D:

or is it an MP3
Avatar 7:23pm
Linda Lee:

don't be mistaken about personal freedom in the states old Dave ..
it's illusory. where it matters most, we have almost none.
alas, in any case, there's no leaving the homestead this winter, even for a day. too much on the plate. :-)
  7:26pm

Always thought this band was unfairly overlooked.

They seem to always be touring with Beach House. I don't care much for Beach House but good on them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm
melinda:

Great sounds, Faye.
Avatar 7:33pm
Old Dave:

Family and community are what make the difference Linda. Are you a "prepper?"
Front page WSJ Friday describes nicely how DT controls no less than 94 LLCs.
That is how they screw you and I, who stupidly pay taxes and work like dogs if we're able.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Loving Papercuts. (Altho' I currently work in a printing factory - & they're kinda the bain of my existence!) Always saids Faye you remind me of young ladies used to work @ music store I haunted & just wondered where they learned about all this outstanding latest stuff...DJ Kayley used to bring a younger fresher bit of oxygen to the whole enterprise too - tho' FMU's always an embarrassment of diverse riches...

So many songs starred on this playlist.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm

@Linda Lee: I could never understand why the Stones were somehow unhappy about their performance in Rock n Roll Circus. They killed it, and Jagger was ridiculously good at his devil game in '68.

i find keith more curmudgeonly than creepy, to be honest.
